Why You Can’t Use the Words You Studied?

When learning a word it is a good idea to learn it in a sentence. Sentences contain a lot of information about how a word is used, such as what words commonly come with it or how it fits into a sentence grammatically. Words learned in this way are far more likely to enter a student’s active vocabulary. This means the words that the student can use when speaking or writing. Words learned on their own tend to be recognized when reading or listening but are not available when trying to communicate.
